Responsibilities
- Identify and address unsafe behaviors and conditions throughout the facility.
- Consistently apply and support Safety Training Observation Program methods each day.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and ongoing safety awareness are maintained on every shift.
- Sustain open and constructive communication within the pressroom team at all times.
- Engage clearly with internal and external stakeholders to meet production timelines, quality benchmarks, and delivery expectations.
- Collaborate with press management to develop training resources that support employee development.
- Provide input on staffing decisions including hiring, firing, promotions, transfers, and training needs.
- Encourage team performance aligned with departmental goals and production schedules.
- Help determine optimal staffing levels for shifts in coordination with other supervisors and departments.
- Align workforce deployment with production and quality demands.
- Keep accurate records and ensure all required documentation is completed.
- Support the ongoing use of Total Quality Program principles and tools.
- Encourage cross-departmental teamwork to drive continuous improvement.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
