Responsibilities
- Grow in a fulfilling career as a Lead Transportation Security Officer (LTSO) at the Sonoma County Airport (STS) working alongside a team of aviation security professionals.
- You will be responsible for leading Transportation Security Officers (TSOs).
- As an LTSO, you will identify, distribute, and balance workloads and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow and skill levels.
- You will adjust the workload in accordance with established priorities.
- Passenger and Baggage Screening
- responding to security-related incidents
- Operating various screening equipment
- Communicating and interacting with travelers and stakeholders
- Directing the work of subordinates to ensure the requirements of SOPs are met
- Providing input to the STSO concerning employee performance
- Performing the functions of an STSO in their absence on security-related issues
- Implementing updated security screening procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Level II certified Transportation Security Officer (TSO).
- Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Pass a computerized assessment (pattern recognition and 2D/3D spatial reasoning)
- Pass a medical evaluation (vision, hearing, and joint mobility exam)
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Pass a TSA background and financial records check
- Ability to work any day, Monday – Sunday, and any shift between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM
- Ability to work independently and possess effective decision-making skills.
- Must have the ability to attain dual-function certification.
