About the Role
This role leads high-priority projects focused on improving operational efficiency and policy development within public service systems. The individual will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and support decision-making through data analysis and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of strategic projects related to operations and policy
- Coordinate with multiple departments to align project goals with organizational priorities
- Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource needs
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans to maintain forward momentum
- Facilitate meetings and prepare materials for leadership review
- Identify risks and recommend solutions to keep initiatives on track
- Gather and analyze data to inform policy and operational improvements
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing project outcomes
- Engage stakeholders across agencies and levels of government
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in project design
- Support policy development through research and evaluation
- Translate strategic directives into actionable implementation steps
- Maintain documentation for project activities and decisions
- Promote collaboration among diverse teams and subject matter experts
- Use project management tools to track deliverables and deadlines
- Communicate updates to executives and program leaders
- Assess the impact of operational changes on service delivery
- Integrate equity considerations into project planning and execution
- Manage vendor contracts or external partners when applicable
- Support change management efforts during transitions
- Ensure accessibility standards are met in project outputs
- Apply performance metrics to evaluate initiative success
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive program information
- Respond to inquiries from oversight bodies or legislative staff
- Stay current with public sector management best practices
