Synchrony is hiring a Strategic Account Specialist

The Strategic Account Specialist plays a key role in advancing national account success by collaborating closely with the Client Development team. In this position, you will engage with senior leaders—including C-suite executives and regional managers—through structured phone interactions to strengthen client partnerships and drive measurable growth in net credit sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with national account teams to nurture and expand relationships with major clients using a consultative, insight-driven approach.
  • Deliver over-the-phone training on CareCredit products, including features, compliance standards, and financial benefits, tailored to the needs of large accounts.
  • Share performance data and strategic recommendations to help clients optimize usage and realize greater value from their partnership.
  • Design and execute action plans for underperforming accounts to improve engagement and sales outcomes.
  • Track all client interactions and progress in Salesforce, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up.
  • Contribute to special initiatives, virtual meetings, and industry events aligned with key accounts.
  • Adhere to organizational standards for quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements, including those under Section 19 of the FDIA.

Qualifications

Candidates must have at least one year of experience in telephone or field sales, collections, or a related role, along with a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of nine months of direct experience in CareCredit sales—or a comparable role in the veterinary finance sector—is strongly preferred. You should demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with senior business leaders and influence strategic decisions.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is required. Applicants must be 18 or older, legally authorized to work in the U.S., and willing to complete a background check, drug test, and fingerprinting as part of onboarding.

A bachelor’s degree or bilingual fluency in Spanish and English may enhance candidacy.

Work Environment & Culture

This hybrid role offers flexibility to work remotely from home near one of the company’s regional hubs or onsite at an office location. Regular in-person attendance is expected for team meetings, training, and culture-building events at the nearest hub.

The organization fosters an inclusive, supportive workplace where diverse perspectives are valued. With strong participation in Employee Resource Groups and a commitment to belonging, the culture emphasizes growth, collaboration, and recognition. Tools, technology, and leadership support are provided to help employees advance their careers.

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly pay range is $25.50 to $35.00, with eligibility for an annual bonus tied to both individual and company performance. The company does not sponsor employment visas for this position, now or in the future.

All qualified applicants receive fair consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or age.
