We're looking for a freelance specialist in statistics and Python programming to develop and verify advanced computational problems as part of AI model training initiatives. This role involves crafting original, mathematically rigorous challenges that reflect real-world research scenarios and require both deep analytical thinking and efficient code implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design novel computational problems rooted in mathematical research practices
- Implement and test solutions using Python and scientific libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, and Sympy
- Ensure problems demand algorithmic solutions beyond manual computation
- Focus on complex domains including number theory, graph theory, combinatorics, and numerical methods
- Provide clear problem descriptions and rigorously verified correct answers
- Base challenges on authentic applications or research-inspired contexts
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a degree in statistics or a closely related discipline and demonstrate strong proficiency in Python for numerical computing. At least two years of professional, academic, or teaching experience in quantitative fields is required. Fluency in written English (C1 level or higher) is essential for clear documentation.
Preferred candidates will have relevant certifications (e.g., CAP, CMME, SAS), experience in cross-border projects, and familiarity with additional tools such as MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Pandas, or Stata. Knowledge of domain-specific mathematical libraries is a strong advantage.
Work & Compensation
This is a project-based engagement with flexible scheduling. Active phases may require 10–20 hours per week, though workload varies by project. Compensation ranges by scope and complexity, with an equivalent rate of $50 per hour. You'll support the evaluation and refinement of AI systems through technically demanding, intellectually rich tasks.
