As a Staff Technical Project Manager, you will lead high-impact programs tied to international expansion and corporate acquisitions. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution, requiring deep coordination across People, Legal, Finance, IT, Security, and executive teams. You'll be responsible for turning complex strategic initiatives into structured, actionable plans with clear timelines, deliverables, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of global market entries and post-acquisition integrations, including Day 0 / Day 1 readiness and long-term operational alignment.
- Design integrated program roadmaps that span multiple functions, ensuring technical systems, HR operations, compliance, and security protocols are synchronized.
- Establish governance frameworks, decision-making cadences, and executive reporting to maintain clarity and momentum across stakeholders.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to coordinate compensation benchmarking, benefits setup, payroll, talent mobility, and local labor compliance.
- Develop scalable playbooks and standardized processes for future expansions and integrations, improving organizational readiness over time.
- Manage cross-border data privacy requirements, working with Legal and Security to ensure GDPR and other regulatory standards are embedded in people systems.
- Orchestrate system integrations across HRIS, identity management, payroll, and collaboration platforms to support seamless onboarding and operations.
- Track integration KPIs, synergy realization, and change adoption, providing data-driven insights to leadership.
- Lead communication strategies that keep acquired teams and internal leaders informed and aligned throughout transitions.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to compliance, workforce planning, and operational dependencies across jurisdictions.
- Elevate program management practices by building dashboards, risk registers, and templates that increase transparency and audit readiness.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience in technical program management, corporate development, or large-scale operational transformations—preferably in high-growth environments.
- Proven track record managing cross-functional, global initiatives with executive visibility, particularly in M&A or international expansion.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, people systems, and cross-border employment considerations.
- Exceptional organizational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively.
- Systems thinker who can align business strategy with technical implementation and workforce impact.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
Work Environment
This role supports a flexible work model, allowing team members to work from home, an office, or another preferred location. Regular in-person gatherings help maintain connection and collaboration. The position is open to candidates in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $162,000 — $171,000 CAD. In addition, the position includes a new hire equity grant and annual refresh grants. Comprehensive benefits include health coverage, paid time off, professional development opportunities, and support for lifelong learning.
