As a Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack (Marketing), you will lead technical initiatives that directly influence user engagement and platform growth. Your work will center on refining digital experiences, particularly in user onboarding, by building and maintaining high-performance services and interfaces across web and mobile platforms.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement fullstack features that improve how users interact with marketing-driven experiences.
- Collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams to identify friction points and deliver intuitive solutions.
- Develop and maintain APIs, backend services, and data pipelines using Java and Spring-based frameworks.
- Build responsive, accessible UIs with React and React Native, ensuring alignment with design specifications.
- Deploy and manage services on AWS using containerized environments and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Use data from Snowflake, monitoring tools like DataDog, and experimentation frameworks to guide development decisions.
- Follow agile practices with a focus on iteration, testing, and continuous delivery via CI/CD pipelines.
What We're Looking For
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience, with strong command of fullstack technologies.
- Proven experience with Java, Spring ecosystem (including Spring Boot), Gradle, and JVM performance optimization.
- Hands-on work with React, React Native, TypeScript, and state management tools like Redux.
- Familiarity with service-oriented architectures, RESTful services, message queues, and scalable backend systems.
- Experience with AWS services such as EKS, Aurora RDS, Elasticache, and DynamoDB.
- Background in CI/CD workflows, preferably using GitHub Actions, and version control with git.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using CDK or Terraform is highly valued.
- Ability to mentor peers, improve team practices, and communicate effectively across disciplines.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary varies by location tier: Tier A (NYC/SF/Seattle) offers $200,000–$250,000 USD; Tier B offers $180,000–$225,000 USD; Tier C offers $170,000–$212,000 USD. The role includes company equity and access to a 401(k) plan with company match starting in 2026.
