Responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction of QualityOS by making key decisions on system design, scalability approaches, integration methods, and platform versus build choices that guide team execution.
- Design and build complex, distributed systems including critical services, APIs, and tools that support fast and reliable manufacturing quality processes.
- Demonstrate engineering best practices through hands-on development, including thorough testing, safe deployment strategies like blue/green and canary releases, infrastructure as code, observability, and operational discipline.
- Collaborate with platform and foundations teams to align shared infrastructure with QualityOS requirements and promote the use of platform capabilities.
- Work closely with other MES product teams to integrate QualityOS into unified manufacturing experiences, refine data models across quality and production domains, and align on shared technical decisions.
- Serve as the technical representative for the quality domain, engaging with architecture, security, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure quality considerations inform broader system designs.
- Elevate team capabilities through detailed code reviews, architectural guidance, shared ownership frameworks, and refining practices that balance speed with accuracy.
- Identify and resolve systemic technical obstacles, reduce dependencies, and increase efficiency by building automation and better tooling.
