About the Role

This position involves leading technical design and development efforts for authentication and administrative functionality, ensuring robust, maintainable solutions that align with long-term product goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of secure authentication systems
• Design and maintain backend services for administrative functionality
• Collaborate with product and security teams to define access controls
• Improve system reliability and scalability for identity management
• Drive best practices in code quality and software design
• Mentor engineers across teams on authentication patterns
• Troubleshoot complex issues in production environments
• Evaluate and integrate new security technologies
• Ensure compliance with data protection standards
• Participate in technical planning and roadmap development
• Optimize performance of identity-related services
• Support incident response for authentication outages
• Contribute to API design for internal and external use
• Maintain documentation for critical system components
• Work with SREs to improve observability and monitoring
• Implement automated testing for core security features
• Refactor legacy systems to improve maintainability
• Enforce secure coding standards across services
• Collaborate on cross-team initiatives involving access management
• Conduct code reviews with a focus on security and scalability
• Assist in defining service level objectives for key systems
• Evaluate third-party identity providers and integrations

• Contribute to disaster recovery planning for auth systems
• Promote consistency in authentication workflows
