What You’ll Do
- Design and implement scalable features across the add-ons stack, from DevHub to automated review pipelines and backend services.
- Establish engineering standards for reliability, including SLOs, monitoring strategies, and incident response protocols.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, and open-source contributors to deliver cohesive improvements from concept to deployment.
- Support team growth through mentorship, code reviews, and knowledge sharing across distributed teams.
- Respond to operational issues, triaging incidents and guiding fixes that protect user trust and platform integrity.
- Advance security practices and trust mechanisms within a highly visible, policy-sensitive environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale web applications with Python/Django or similar frameworks.
- Solid understanding of web security, observability, and distributed system challenges.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders around technical vision.
- Experience guiding engineering teams through ambiguity and complex problem spaces.
- Background mentoring engineers and fostering technical growth in others.
Preferred Experience
- Site Reliability Engineering practices in production environments.
- Cloud infrastructure platforms such as Google Cloud.
- Contributions to open-source software or community-driven projects.
- Familiarity with content moderation systems operating under policy guidelines.
