Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross-functional groups to define, design, and deliver meaningful features that meet real user needs through iterative development
- Collaborate with Product and Design to influence the long-term direction and strategic priorities of the product
- Lead major technical initiatives that span multiple teams or departments to drive innovation and system improvements
- Engage in code reviews and testing to uphold high standards of code quality, readability, and long-term maintainability
- Advocate for consistent engineering standards and the creation of reusable components to improve team efficiency
- Lead technical discussions and decision-making processes to align teams around effective solutions for challenging problems
- Investigate, adopt, and share modern engineering practices and technologies relevant to the team’s domain
- Communicate intricate technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences across the organization
- Mentor engineers at all levels, supporting their skill development and career progression
- Integrate AI tools into daily workflows by delegating tasks to agents, validating outputs, and continuously refining automation strategies
Compensation
This role offers a salary range from $169,200 (entry) to $228,900 (maximum), with equity, health benefits, retirement matching, and wellness stipends included in the total compensation package.

Team
You may be matched with one of three teams: McWeb (focused on scalable web platform foundations and modernization), QuoteMeal (building intuitive quoting and estimating tools for service businesses), or Franchise (developing systems to support multi-location and franchise operations with complex workflows and reporting needs).
Teams
- McWeb: Develops the core tools, architecture, and shared systems that power the web platform at scale. Focuses on performance, reliability, observability, and modernizing the frontend stack to boost developer productivity and user experience.
- QuoteMeal: Builds web and mobile solutions that streamline the quoting and estimating process for service providers, enabling them to win more work efficiently and grow their businesses.
- Franchise: Designs foundational systems for franchise and multi-location businesses, solving challenges in account structure, permissions, reporting, onboarding, and partner-specific tooling with scalability in mind.
Hiring Process and Team Match-Making
- Candidates will be assessed through a structured engineering hiring process and matched to a currently hiring team based on skills and interests.
- The process includes a 45-minute call with a Talent team member, a 60-minute Hiring Manager Interview, a take-home challenge followed by a 90-minute Functional Interview, and a 45-minute interview with Senior Leadership.
- Applicants are encouraged to express interest in a specific team to their Talent Partner during the process.

- Compensation is transparent, equitable, and aligned with experience and growth potential.
- The base salary for this role ranges from $169,200 (minimum) to $228,900 (maximum), with a midpoint at $199,100.
