About the Role
Your mission is to enhance and scale the backend infrastructure of the platform using the MERN stack. This includes building a scalable architecture, optimizing services and APIs, improving system performance and reliability, and taking ownership of production systems. As part of the early engineering team, you will help shape technical strategy, processes, and culture.
Responsibilities
- Participate in system architecture planning and collaborate across teams to identify and integrate product enhancements.
- Build and refine a real-time backend that supports concurrent user edits on graph data and facilitates AI model retraining through user input.
- Develop reusable libraries and APIs in Node.js to interface with machine learning components.
- Identify and resolve issues related to system resilience, uptime, and performance constraints.
- Refactor existing services and components while producing clear documentation for implemented solutions.
- Support team growth by providing constructive feedback through code reviews and pair programming sessions.
- Assist in recruiting and onboarding new engineers and take on full project lifecycle management as the team expands.
