About the Role:
The Staff Security Investigation Analyst will spearhead internal investigations focusing on insider threats, data loss, policy violations, and security incidents. Beyond reactive case management, this role involves proactively identifying behavioral indicators and anomalies signaling potential insider risks. Collaboration with Legal, HR, Security Operations, IT, and Engineering teams ensures thorough, ethical, and discreet investigation processes.
The Insider Protection Team specializes in identifying, investigating, and mitigating risks posed by trusted insiders through malicious intent, negligence, or compromise. As a core component of AlphaSense's security organization, the team works closely with multiple departments to enhance organizational security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive investigations into insider threats, intellectual property theft, compliance violations
- Investigate incidents involving sensitive organizational assets
- Gather and analyze digital and physical evidence using forensic methodologies
- Perform investigative interviews with subjects and stakeholders
- Prepare detailed investigative reports for leadership and legal proceedings
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams
- Maintain case management systems and evidence confidentiality
- Develop and enhance investigation protocols
- Identify patterns and recommend preventive controls
- Provide executive-level reporting on investigation trends
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years corporate investigations/forensics experience
- Hands-on insider threat and data loss prevention tooling expertise
- Proficiency in cloud-native environment investigations
- Knowledge of employment law and privacy regulations
- Strong investigative interview skills
- Exceptional communication and discretion capabilities
- Case management and e-discovery tool proficiency
