Deel is hiring a Staff Product Designer, Design Systems

Responsibilities

  • Drive the ongoing development, documentation, and widespread use of the organization's design system.
  • Enhance the reliability, uniformity, and expandability of user interface elements across web and mobile environments.
  • Ensure all system components adhere to standards for accessibility, multilingual support, and responsive design.
  • Promote the design system externally to highlight organizational design quality.
  • Define the strategic direction for building flexible, reusable components using dynamic variables.
  • Create advanced interface components like configurable data tables, form generators, and navigation structures to support a large design organization.
  • Track component performance, detect recurring issues, and resolve accumulated design inefficiencies.
  • Improve collaboration methods between engineering and design teams.
  • Build internal tools that improve workflow efficiency for both designers and developers, such as consistency checks and automation systems.
  • Develop automated processes for design tokens and utilities to simplify handoffs between teams.
  • Amplify team productivity by delivering reusable foundational resources across product divisions.
  • Guide and train designers in effectively using and contributing to the design system.
  • Strengthen team skills by recognizing reusable patterns and enabling knowledge exchange.
  • Foster opportunities for designers to expand their systems thinking and influence system improvements.
  • Collaborate with design leadership to ensure the design system supports overall product objectives
