Responsibilities
- Drive the ongoing development, documentation, and widespread use of the organization's design system.
- Enhance the reliability, uniformity, and expandability of user interface elements across web and mobile environments.
- Ensure all system components adhere to standards for accessibility, multilingual support, and responsive design.
- Promote the design system externally to highlight organizational design quality.
- Define the strategic direction for building flexible, reusable components using dynamic variables.
- Create advanced interface components like configurable data tables, form generators, and navigation structures to support a large design organization.
- Track component performance, detect recurring issues, and resolve accumulated design inefficiencies.
- Improve collaboration methods between engineering and design teams.
- Build internal tools that improve workflow efficiency for both designers and developers, such as consistency checks and automation systems.
- Develop automated processes for design tokens and utilities to simplify handoffs between teams.
- Amplify team productivity by delivering reusable foundational resources across product divisions.
- Guide and train designers in effectively using and contributing to the design system.
- Strengthen team skills by recognizing reusable patterns and enabling knowledge exchange.
- Foster opportunities for designers to expand their systems thinking and influence system improvements.
- Collaborate with design leadership to ensure the design system supports overall product objectives
