Responsibilities
- Drive the creation and deployment of sophisticated algorithms for robotic perception in industrial welding, combining inputs from RGB/GigE, LiDAR, and ToF depth sensors.
- Lead research efforts to solve challenging problems in welding applications using image analysis, point cloud processing, and multi-sensor 3D fusion.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design experiments that test and refine deep learning models for improved perception in robotic systems.
- Keep current with progress in robotics, computer vision, and machine learning to integrate emerging technologies into production-grade systems.
- Provide technical mentorship to less experienced engineers and promote team-wide growth in perception and machine learning capabilities.
- Influence key decisions on system design and the future of perception technologies, aligning technical direction with business and product objectives.
