We are seeking a skilled Staff Engineer to lead critical work in systems design engineering for storage technologies. This individual will play a central role in shaping system architecture, driving firmware and hardware design initiatives, and ensuring robust validation across the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze PCB layouts and schematics, interpreting component functions and circuit interactions
- Conduct thorough BOM reviews and generate detailed technical reports
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware issues using protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes
- Identify root causes of failures through systematic testing and reverse engineering
- Perform power distribution analysis and reconstruct power tree architectures
- Lead system-level validation efforts to ensure design reliability and performance
- Ensure final products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality
- Take ownership of technical challenges and drive solutions with minimal oversight
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams in a rapidly evolving environment
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, along with 6–8 years of hands-on experience in storage system design. Essential skills include a solid grasp of PCB design principles, proficiency in debugging tools, and experience in power analysis and reverse engineering. A strong commitment to quality, initiative, and teamwork is required.
Preferred Background
- Direct experience in storage subsystems and flash memory technologies
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing and assembly processes
- Working knowledge of interface protocols such as NVMe, PCIe, USB, and SD/uSD
