Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years in software engineering, including at least 3 years at senior or staff level
- Current hands-on development experience with Python and Go on a daily basis
- Extensive experience with GitLab CI and GitHub, including managing runners, pipelines, and workflows
- Strong understanding of Linux internals: processes, permissions, shell scripting, networking, and packaging
- Proven ability to refactor legacy systems safely while maintaining production stability
- Familiarity with observability practices, including monitoring, logging, metrics collection, and alerting
- Experience taking full ownership of a product or internal tool from inception to delivery
- Capable of creating, communicating, and adjusting a strategic roadmap based on evolving needs
- Skilled at making and defending decisions involving scope, timelines, and risk trade-offs
- Able to interpret unclear or ambiguous requirements and turn them into actionable deliverables
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, for effective collaboration
- Able to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Experienced in managing competing priorities while maintaining positive team dynamics
- Comfortable providing constructive pushback by saying 'no' or 'not yet' when appropriate
- Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, proactively defining work rather than waiting for direction
- Thrives in fast-moving environments with frequent prototyping and experimentation
