Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of cloud-native services for data backup, recovery, and workload security.
- Take full ownership of initiatives from concept through deployment and large-scale operation.
- Work closely with Product Management and Architecture to shape and refine the long-term technical direction.
- Advise development teams on distributed systems design, scalability strategies, and fault tolerance in cloud settings.
- Assess emerging technologies, architectural patterns, and frameworks to enhance system efficiency and dependability.
- Provide technical mentorship to engineers, elevating overall team capabilities.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate production issues in cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Promote automation, continuous integration and delivery workflows, and observability practices to ensure reliable software releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Minimum of 11 years building enterprise-grade or cloud-native software at scale.
- Solid foundation in distributed systems principles and cloud-native application design.
- Extensive coding experience in Java, Go, or Python.
- Proven hands-on work with public cloud providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP and their platform services.
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, and event-driven system architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical architecture discussions and deliver robust, scalable systems.
- Experience guiding engineers and leading technical efforts across multiple teams.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with storage systems, backup and recovery mechanisms, cybersecurity, or monitoring platforms is highly desirable.
