Responsibilities
- Develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuitry from initial concept through schematic creation, layout guidance, prototype testing, and handoff to production.
- Lead technical reviews of schematics and designs, and provide direction for PCB layout to ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and ease of manufacturing.
- Incorporate electromagnetic compatibility and interference controls from early design stages using grounding, shielding, filtering, isolation, and electrostatic discharge protection, and assist in pre-compliance and compliance evaluations.
- Test and troubleshoot hardware prototypes in lab environments, identifying root causes of issues and implementing validated solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Firmware, Software, Vision, and Test to integrate sensors, cameras, lighting, motor controls, and computing systems.
- Maintain thorough documentation of designs, verification methods, and test outcomes in alignment with established design control procedures.
- Provide technical mentorship to other engineers and contribute to evolving design standards, reference architectures, and long-term technology planning.
- Manage and direct external partners and suppliers involved in camera, sensor, optical, and printed circuit board assembly subsystems, ensuring technical alignment, schedule adherence, and quality benchmarks.
