Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of AWS architectures that are scalable, secure, and optimized for cost efficiency.
- Establish standards for compute resources including EC2, ECS, and EKS, as well as storage solutions like S3, EBS, and EFS.
- Design systems to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and uninterrupted business operations.
- Collaborate with development teams to build cloud-native applications tailored for AWS environments.
- Advance Infrastructure as Code adoption using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Automate infrastructure deployment, scaling, and configuration processes.
- Enhance system visibility and operational performance through centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Lead efforts in performance optimization and capacity forecasting for critical applications.
- Integrate core AWS security features including IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, and Security Hub into infrastructure design.
- Work closely with security teams to maintain compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR standards.
- Implement zero-trust security models and enforce least-privilege access policies.
- Serve as a technical mentor and leader for cloud and DevOps engineering teams.
- Shape long-term decisions around cloud platforms, tooling, and architectural direction.
- Engage with product, security, and engineering teams across functions to align on technical goals.
- Participate in architecture reviews, design governance, and strategic planning sessions.
