About the Role
The ideal candidate will take long-term technical ownership of the system managing revenue computations, payments, ledger-style events, and deterministic profit as part of a travel-tech platform's evolution into a multi-agency SaaS product.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical vision for the Financial Core, question existing assumptions, and collaborate closely with finance and engineering leaders.
- Verify accuracy of lifecycle processes and reconciliation logic.
- Manage ledger-based financial transactions, including revenue and profit recognition, cost standardization, and tracking of client and supplier balances.
- Enhance confidence in the financial model by enforcing strict financial invariants in a distributed, event-driven system.

The Mission
The company is advancing its core platform into a multi-agency SaaS solution, with the Financial Core as the central component. The role involves becoming the long-term technical owner of the system that handles revenue, payments, ledger events, and profit determination.
The Context
This initiative is already underway. The Financial Core has seen early architectural design, a ledger foundation established, and initial domain events implemented. At onboarding, Version 1 will likely be in late development or early testing. Success hinges on assuming hands-on ownership, stabilizing V1, and guiding the path to V2—rather than starting from scratch.
