Xero is looking for a Staff Applied Scientist to join our Data, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence technology team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and deploying AI/ML systems that impact our global platform.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and productionize machine learning models and AI solutions.
- Lead technical projects from research and prototyping to scalable deployment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to define technical direction.
- Mentor other scientists and engineers, raising the technical bar for the team.
- Stay current with advancements in AI/ML and identify opportunities for application.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Staff, Principal, or Lead-level Applied Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.
- Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling, and their practical application.
- Strong track record of delivering end-to-end ML projects into production environments.
- Excellent programming skills in languages like Python and experience with ML frameworks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
Work Mode
