Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly tax estimates and federal filings (Forms 1099 and 2290) for transportation clients
- Assist with preparation of individual and business tax returns, including Schedule C and S Corporations
- Support clients with S Corporation formations and related compliance filings
- Research federal and state tax matters specific to the transportation industry
- Collaborate with the Transportation Tax team to ensure timely completion of client engagements
- Maintain accurate, organized workpapers in accordance with internal quality standards
- Communicate with clients to gather documentation, provide updates, and deliver completed tax work
- Assist with internal projects such as Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) filings, RA renewals, and client retention tracking
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in tax
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Nice to Have
- CPA certification
- Experience with QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), UltraTax, and AdvanceFlow
- Ability to pass a CJIS background check
