Databricks is hiring a Sr. Solutions Architect - Digital Native Business, Strategics

Responsibilities

  • Influence the evolution of data and artificial intelligence ecosystems by engaging with advanced data engineering and data science teams
  • Work jointly with clients, product groups, and customer-facing teams to design architectures and solutions leveraging the Databricks platform and its APIs
  • Support clients in navigating competitive technologies, industry best practices, and deployment strategies
  • Foster the growth of technical advocates within client organizations
  • Collaborate with sales teams to deliver technical guidance and demonstrate how platform capabilities address business challenges
  • Lead technical assessments and design system architectures tailored to client needs
  • Execute proof-of-concept initiatives across data engineering, machine learning, data science, and SQL analytics workflows
  • Assist clients in developing integrations between the platform and cloud services, internal tools, or third-party applications
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to help clients achieve measurable business results
  • Coordinate with peer architects to share knowledge and improve support for users
  • Gain deep proficiency in open-source projects inspired by the company (e.g., Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Omnigent), advocate for them, and grow community contributions

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years of experience in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or comparable pre-sales or consulting roles
  • Proven background in designing and managing distributed data systems
  • Proficient in writing, reading, and debugging Python and SQL code
  • Hands-on experience developing solutions on public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Demonstrated expertise in either Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) or Data Science and Machine Learning frameworks (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally to meet clients

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research
  • Hold a current certification related to the Databricks platform
