About the Role

Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Salesforce, you will play a key role in building and enhancing a cloud-based ERP system tailored for manufacturing and distribution industries. Your work will directly impact platform scalability, performance, and reliability through thoughtful design and precise implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce pages, and automated flows while respecting Salesforce governor limits and performance constraints.
  • Design and implement integrations and backend logic that support enterprise-grade functionality across distributed systems.
  • Apply architectural best practices and design patterns to build extensible, maintainable solutions aligned with long-term product goals.
  • Advocate for Test-Driven Development by writing comprehensive unit tests and ensuring high code coverage and resilience.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders across regions to uncover requirements and deliver technically sound features.
  • Participate in system-level planning, ensuring consistency and coherence across platform components and teams.
  • Use CI/CD pipelines to deploy, test, and monitor changes, supporting reliable and frequent releases.
  • Investigate and resolve critical production issues with a focus on root cause analysis and sustainable fixes.
  • Stay informed about Salesforce platform updates and evaluate new features for adoption to improve system capabilities.
  • Conduct code reviews with constructive feedback, promoting code quality and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Guide peers through mentorship, technical discussions, and internal workshops to strengthen team-wide expertise.
  • Document architectural decisions and feature designs to ensure clarity and maintainability over time.
  • Respond to customer-reported issues with urgency and empathy, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience in full-stack Salesforce development, including Apex, SOQL, LWC, and integrations.
  • Proven ability to debug and resolve complex issues within the Salesforce environment.
  • Solid understanding of platform-specific constraints and optimization techniques.
  • Experience applying software design patterns and enforcing coding standards in team settings.
  • Ability to work independently while guiding others technically and contributing to team direction.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with both technical and business-facing audiences.
  • Skilled in analyzing multifaceted problems and identifying unspoken requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and continuous integration practices.
  • Commitment to writing clean, testable, and scalable code using TDD principles.
  • Experience producing technical documentation that supports development and onboarding.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I or II, or Lightning Component Specialist.
  • Leadership experience in cross-functional projects or technical initiatives.
  • Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or related enterprise domains.

Technical Environment

Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL, Flows, JavaScript, Java, Salesforce Integrations, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum methodology.

Work Model

This is a hybrid position based in Bangalore, India. While daily communication is conducted virtually, occasional in-office presence will be required as operational needs arise.
