About the Role
This position leads platform engineering initiatives for strategic accounts, serving as a trusted advisor to technology executives and shaping solutions in cloud-native, DevOps, and developer productivity. The consultant drives business development, designs operating models, and leads complex technical programs while collaborating across teams to deliver transformative results.
Responsibilities
- Lead platform engineering engagements for key accounts and advise CIOs, CTOs, and engineering leaders on cloud-native, DevOps, and developer experience strategies.
- Collaborate with sales and account teams to shape proposals, define statements of work, estimate effort, and support revenue and margin goals.
- Support business development by leading go-to-market strategy and execution for platform engineering opportunities.
- Translate business priorities into platform engineering roadmaps, investment cases, and operating models.
- Engage executive stakeholders through presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
- Identify expansion opportunities into related service areas such as cloud, data/AI, security, and managed services.
- Contribute to the evolution of platform engineering offerings, frameworks, and go-to-market materials.
- Develop enterprise platform strategies and operating models that align with business outcomes and guide build-versus-buy decisions.
- Advise clients on agentic AI solutions, internal developer platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD modernization, DevSecOps, observability, and automation.
- Design reference architectures, golden paths, and standardized patterns to enhance developer productivity and security.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging trends in cloud-native technologies and the platform ecosystem.
- Lead change management, adoption planning, and operating model design to ensure value delivery.
- Manage cross-functional platform engineering programs including platform development, migration, and operational maturity.
- Define delivery methodologies, governance, success metrics, and quality controls across multiple workstreams.
- Own project scope, timeline, budget, risks, dependencies, and decision-making; deliver executive-level reporting.
- Work closely with client leadership to align technical decisions with enterprise goals and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, communication, and successful implementation.
