SDSU Research Foundation is hiring a Sr. Banner Programmer/Analyst

About the Role

You will build and maintain the digital infrastructure that powers a top-tier public research university’s R1 mission, balancing day-to-day system stability with forward-looking modernization projects that strengthen enterprise systems for the future.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and document custom software solutions, reports, and automated workflows using Oracle PL/SQL and APEX to meet organizational needs.
  • Configure and maintain application servers such as Tomcat and ORDS, along with Linux environments, to ensure reliable operation of critical systems including Ellucian Banner.
  • Implement and manage Single Sign-On via Azure Active Directory and digital certificates to enable secure and seamless access to essential tools.
  • Support system upgrades, maintain Java-based Banner code, and integrate emerging technologies into existing platforms.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges affecting system performance and data accuracy, eliminating bottlenecks for optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate across departments to understand business requirements and convert them into secure, scalable technical implementations.

Compensation

Salary range: $7,371.00 - $10,813.70 monthly; non-negotiable

Work Arrangement

Hybrid — two days in office, three days remote
