Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounting for multiple Senior Living properties (including AR, AP, GL, accruals, and financial statements).
- Prepare and post journal entries related to monthly close, management fees, payroll allocations, utilities, and intercompany transactions.
- Manage and reconcile resident billing, move-ins/move-outs, and care-level adjustments.
- Review and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with property and regional teams to maintain accurate property-level financials.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support audits by preparing detailed schedules and reconciliations.
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Train and mentor junior accountants, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to accounting standards.
Requirements
- Experienced Senior Accountant
- Strong background in Senior Living accounting
- Hands-on experience in multi-entity accounting
- Experience with complex journal entries
- Experience with resident billing
- Solid understanding of Senior Living operations
- Full-cycle accounting experience
- Compliance with U.S. GAAP
