INTECON is hiring a Squadron Operations Training Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update records in the Graduate Training Integration Management System (GTIMS) or its successors, along with locally managed databases, as needed.
  • Collaborate with Host and Squadron Aviation Resource Management personnel to ensure accurate updates to the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) or equivalent platforms.
  • Create, review, and maintain student and permanent personnel records, folders, and grade books in accordance with Air Force instructions and local policies.
  • Coordinate class and exam schedules, working with internal and external agencies to ensure compliance with training mandates such as Crew Resource Management and pre-deployment courses.
  • Conduct regular audits of individual training records and grade books on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Work with the Squadron DOT Flight Chief to develop and implement periodic training and testing plans for approval and scheduling.
  • Support coordination of off-site training events, conferences, and seminars for squadron members.
  • Schedule personnel for mandatory ground training in alignment with unit policies and directives.
  • Deliver weekly updates to leadership on flight readiness and personnel duty status, including progress on performance reports and awards.
  • Partner with scheduling offices to maximize training availability while adhering to Air Force regulations and leadership guidance.
  • Track daily progress of upgrade and continuation training; provide weekly summaries to the Operations Officer.
  • Assist in designing new training curricula and syllabi under the supervision of the Squadron DOT Flight Chief.
  • Produce quarterly inputs for OST Training reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Complete and submit AF Form 2096 for classification and on-the-job training actions.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly and semi-annual Non-Mission Ready (NMR) notifications in compliance with AFMAN 11-2MDS-V1.
  • Deliver monthly Squadron Training Review Panel (STRP) briefings to leadership, including training status and recommendations.
  • Develop and present a 6-month training plan in accordance with AFMAN 11-202V1 and applicable supplements.
  • Generate a monthly Aircrew Probation and Regression Report following established Air Force guidelines.
  • Produce a semi-annual Proration Consideration Report in compliance with relevant directives and local procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a flying squadron, training office, HARM/SARM, aviation resource management, or similar aviation operations support setting.
  • Proven experience maintaining grade books, training records, readiness status, and related reporting.
  • Capable of managing recurring reports and meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong coordination skills with leadership, scheduling teams, and external agencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database-driven reporting tools.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aviation operations, aviation management, training, education, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Six or more years of experience in Air Force squadron training operations, including direct work with GTIMS, ARMS, or similar systems.
  • Prior military or civilian experience supporting squadrons in comparable roles at any of the designated locations.
  • Familiarity with GTIMS, ARMS, or current and future training and readiness management systems.
