Responsibilities
- Work closely with business leaders, project leads, and development teams to grasp organizational objectives and technical needs.
- Assist product squads and tribes in selecting appropriate architectures and technologies, ensuring consistent and coordinated architectural decisions across teams and domains.
- Analyze current systems and technical infrastructure to detect enhancement opportunities and suggest forward-thinking improvements aligned with enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Define and uphold architectural standards by creating comprehensive technical designs that support business goals and comply with established technology policies.
- Produce and manage system diagrams, technical specifications, and development guidelines using ArchiMate and the Arc42 documentation structure.
- Guarantee that technical designs meet performance, scalability, and security requirements through periodic evaluations and audits, considering service offerings and technological evolution.
- Monitor advancements in technology and industry developments to propose innovative tools and approaches that enhance solution capabilities.
- Partner with external vendors, third-party providers, and internal units to assess, compare, and integrate third-party platforms and services, including feasibility and financial impact reviews.
- Guide and mentor less experienced team members, promoting knowledge sharing and technical growth within the engineering community.
Requirements
- University degree in computer science, engineering, or a comparable discipline.
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience as an IT architect across multiple domains.
- Background in implementing IT services within retail and commercial financial sectors.
- Solid understanding of architectural concepts, design patterns, and industry best practices.
- Skilled in building secure, scalable systems with modern cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise integration methods, including API gateways, ESBs, and microservices architecture.
- Proven track record in data architecture design, encompassing data modeling and database technologies.
- Familiarity with infrastructure and deployment automation through code practices.
- Understanding of Domain-Driven Design principles and practical application in system design.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on teamwork across departments.
- Capable of strategic thinking and resolving complex technical challenges.
- Experience working within Agile environments and using related project management frameworks.

- Holdings of recognized certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect are advantageous.
