Responsibilities
- Examine requirements, user stories, and API specifications to develop detailed test cases and automation plans
- Develop and sustain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress within modular, reusable frameworks such as Page Object Model and Behavior-Driven Development
- Conduct thorough API testing, including authentication checks, payload validation, error responses, and contract compliance using Postman and REST automation tools
- Construct SQL queries to verify data accuracy, transformations, and business rule implementation in databases
- Execute test suites across multiple browsers, operating systems, and environments, including headless and parallel configurations
- Embed test automation into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and oversee test execution quality
- Log and manage defects in JIRA with precise steps to reproduce and assessments of business impact
- Collaborate with developers during code reviews and promote early testing practices to catch issues sooner
- Leverage artificial intelligence tools to accelerate test creation, identify failure trends, review code, and retrieve insights from documentation and historical test data
- Keep test documentation, reporting dashboards, and quality metrics current and accessible
