Allstate is seeking a Software Engineer Senior Consultant I (.NET/C#) to design and build enterprise web applications. You will develop products and services supporting National General, following best practices for scalable and maintainable systems using test-driven development and continuous integration.
What You'll Do
- Participate in iteration planning and maintain a common understanding of backlog stories and chores
- Collaborate within the team to design systems and applications
- Participate in daily standups, retrospectives, and knowledge-sharing to improve the team
- Support software products in user environments
- Practice daily paired programming and test-driven development
- Establish continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines
What We're Looking For
- Experience with MVC architecture and developing RESTful APIs
- Experience working with front-end frameworks like React.js, Vue.js, Angular, or Blazor
- Solid understanding of modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and ability to write and optimize complex T-SQL queries
- Experience building scalable, secure, and maintainable web applications
- Familiarity with source control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in both front-end and back-end environments
- Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum development teams
Nice to Have
- 3 years or more of ASP.NET and C# backend development for enterprise applications
- 3 or more years of overall development experience
