Responsibilities
- Assist in creating reliable, scalable solutions as the platform transitions from Rails to Node.js and Next.js.
- Develop high-quality code through code reviews, pairing sessions, and collaborative knowledge sharing.
- Design and implement solutions using technologies such as Next.js, TypeScript, Kafka, and Go, with frequent deployments through continuous deployment.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure the right software is built efficiently and iteratively at a global scale.
- Create new pages and components with Next.js and React, utilizing SSR, REST, and GraphQL.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of protobuf contracts to support efficient service development.
- Drive quality and performance improvements, advocating for observability, load testing, and metrics.
- Maintain legacy systems while supporting platform evolution.
- Foster a positive, productive, and healthy team environment.
- Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to deliver effective solutions.
- Engage in pair programming with other engineers.
- Participate in self-directed Relentless Improvement days for learning, experimentation, or platform enhancements.
- Adhere to quality management, safety, and environmental company policies.
