Responsibilities

  • Receives daily guidance from a designated Product Leader or Owner to lead technical teams or act as a subject matter expert
  • Acts as a core team member to resolve complex, non-routine service issues with low to medium risk exposure
  • Conducts research, analysis, design, development, and deployment of applications to meet present and future user needs
  • Develops forward-looking solutions that enhance organizational value
  • Oversees multiple vendor-managed projects to successful completion within defined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Designs and implements business-focused solutions using current and emerging technologies in creative and effective ways
  • Provides training or mentorship to colleagues and team members as needed
  • Supplies financial insights for departmental or project budgets, capital planning, or cost projections when requested
  • Recognizes and proposes improvements to service delivery workflows
  • Conducts advanced quantitative and qualitative assessments related to service delivery and project performance
  • Supports fulfillment of contractual deliverables and commitments by service providers
  • Confirms requirements are fully defined and complete before vendor solution development begins
  • Ensures all initiatives comply with established development and business justification procedures
  • Coordinates with relevant IT and vendor management teams to ensure alignment
  • Offers expert advice on both routine and complex systems development efforts
  • Alerts business stakeholders promptly to any service level shortfalls or performance issues
  • Collaborates with operations and infrastructure groups on deployment and production support tasks
  • Adheres to established IT policies and frameworks, including governance, service management, and architecture, while suggesting improvements as appropriate
  • Balances business objectives with operational risk considerations
  • Complies with formal project management methodologies and procedures
  • Verifies that service providers plan and track project elements such as timelines, outputs, and performance indicators
  • Develops short-term operational plans to optimize team resource utilization
  • Tracks performance outcomes of service providers
  • Evaluates the accuracy of work effort estimates submitted by vendors for client projects
  • Supports timely resolution of service delivery challenges to reduce client impact
