Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services and foundational components that support push notifications, email, SMS, and in-app messaging.
- Architect systems for audience segmentation, campaign timing, content coordination, message delivery pipelines, and user preference management.
- Enhance system reliability, speed, and monitoring capabilities for large-scale, mission-critical messaging infrastructure.
- Collaborate with product, design, data science, and engineering teams to deliver effective messaging experiences that balance engagement with user trust and platform integrity.
- Design intuitive APIs, abstractions, and operational frameworks enabling internal teams to deploy messaging features securely and efficiently.
- Support the development of experimentation, tracking, and analytics systems to measure the effectiveness of messaging initiatives.
- Promote high engineering standards through sound technical decisions, thorough code reviews, and reliable operational practices.
- Participate in shared responsibility for production system health, incident resolution, and ongoing improvements to platform stability.
