DICK'S Sporting Goods is hiring a Software Engineer II to join our remote Payments team. You will be responsible for backend APIs and UI components that support our eCommerce web, mobile app, and Point Of Sale systems. Your work will involve analyzing business needs, designing and building new software, and ensuring our solutions are fast, secure, and reliable.
What You'll Do
- Develop existing software and contribute to new software by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
- Build new software that is fast, secure, and reliable to meet defined requirements.
- Monitor, identify, and correct moderately complex software defects to maintain fully functioning software.
- Support research and suggest ways to optimize solutions to better meet user, business, performance, and quality needs.
- Maintain a road map to facilitate software development and ensure work is prioritized in line with business requirements.
- Find root causes and resolutions to limit and address issues promptly.
- Support the collection of functional requirements using document and workflow analysis.
- Work within an established program management plan to achieve specific goals.
- Participate in assessment, development planning, training, and coaching activities.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with Java, SQL, Spring, Rest services, and Microservices Architecture.
- Proven experience with CI/CD practices.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level of education.
