Role Overview
Join a team focused on advancing global narrowband communication systems by developing robust software solutions that operate across embedded and cloud environments. In this role, you'll contribute to building, testing, and maintaining critical components that ensure reliable, secure, and efficient network performance with minimal disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate and debug software for embedded systems, ensuring compatibility and stability across hardware and software layers
- Maintain and evolve infrastructure-as-code repositories using GitOps methodologies, incorporating updates and new features as needed
- Conduct peer code reviews and collaborate on version-controlled projects using Git
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions on schedule and within scope
- Participate in Agile development cycles as a member of a multidisciplinary engineering group
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience with C/C++ in embedded software development
- At least three years working with Linux/Unix operating systems, preferably in embedded contexts
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this government-related position
- Flexibility to work part-time either remotely within the U.S. or from a designated office location
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile Scrum frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Artifactory
- Background in managing GitOps-based infrastructure repositories
- Hands-on work with OpenShift and Kubernetes environments
- Scripting experience in Python or Bash
- Proficiency with automated testing tools and test automation workflows
- Experience tracking progress and managing tasks using JIRA, Jama, Agile tools, or internal wikis

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this part-time position is $135,500 – $214,000 annually, with higher ranges applicable in high-cost areas such as San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and New York City ($168,500 – $252,500). Additional compensation may include cash incentives and stock awards. Comprehensive benefits support physical, financial, and emotional well-being, with specific offerings tailored to the role. Relocation assistance may be available depending on the assignment.
Work Model
This is a part-time position with flexibility to work remotely within the United States or from a physical office. Eligible locations include US-remote, San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area.
