Lockheed Martin Space is hiring a Software Engineer

A Senior Software Engineer is needed to develop mission-critical software solutions for government, commercial, and international customers. The role emphasizes secure, scalable system design, innovation, and collaboration within an agile framework to support national security objectives.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in designing and documenting architectures based on microservices
  • Strong ability to deliver clear and effective presentations
  • Solid knowledge of open architecture principles, cloud computing design, and cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Demonstrated expertise in software development using Java or C#
  • Experience in designing and building user interfaces and user experiences
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work productively in a collaborative team setting

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience operating in cloud computing environments
  • Experience integrating software components using machine-to-machine communication methods such as RESTful APIs or ActiveMQ
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Background working with mission planning systems
  • Experience implementing test automation and continuous integration and deployment pipelines
  • Strong skills in developing, debugging, or testing web applications and services
  • Knowledge of the ELK stack, including Elastic Search, Kibana, and Logstash
  • Proven experience working in Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies, or a solid understanding of Agile principles
  • Eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not listed, the salary range will be adjusted based on the candidate’s final work location. In most major metropolitan areas of California, Massachusetts, and New York, the range is $107,300 - $185,840. Eligible for incentive plans.

Work Arrangement

Onsite Full-time at King of Prussia, PA or Littleton, CO. Work must be performed at a designated company facility. Flexible scheduling options are available, including a 9x80 schedule (9 hours per day for 8 days, with every other Friday off).
