Vercel is hiring a Software Engineer, Compute

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a distributed fleet of clusters with hundreds of instances deployed globally, aligned with customer deployment regions.
  • Develop core systems in Golang daily, using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
  • Gain deep expertise in Nomad, our workload orchestrator, to manage and optimize compute scheduling.
  • Build foundational platform components that securely execute untrusted customer code at scale.
  • Drive platform innovation by contributing to features where even minor performance gains yield significant system-wide impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new capabilities for the compute platform.
  • Work on advanced initiatives such as Fluid Compute and dynamic CPU-based pricing models.
