As a Software Engineer, you will help design and build next-generation command, control, and communications systems critical to national security. Working within a cross-functional team, you'll contribute to software solutions that support strategic deterrence missions, emphasizing reliability, security, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software for advanced defense systems in collaboration with engineering and technical teams
- Engage in peer code reviews to ensure high standards of software quality and security
- Translate system requirements into technical implementations using modern development practices
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, along with at least two years of relevant experience—or a master’s degree plus six months of experience. U.S. citizenship is required due to access requirements for classified information.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with software testing at multiple levels, including unit and integration testing
- Proficiency with mainstream development environments such as Visual Studio or JetBrains IDEs
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Linux environments, virtualization, containerization, and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
- Knowledge of networking concepts and infrastructure
