Responsibilities
- Create, validate, and maintain software for autonomous defense technologies with emphasis on performance, dependability, and security.
- Build robust, tested code using C++, Rust, Python, or C for real-time operational environments.
- Design comprehensive software architectures spanning firmware and mission-critical application layers.
- Collaborate with embedded systems, guidance-navigation-control, and systems engineering teams to ensure tight integration between hardware and software components.
- Optimize software execution for minimal latency on embedded and edge computing hardware.
- Apply secure development practices to meet defense-grade cybersecurity requirements and resist cyber threats.
- Leverage DevOps methodologies, continuous integration and deployment pipelines, and automated testing frameworks to improve development efficiency.
- Diagnose, resolve, and refine complex software issues to meet stringent reliability standards for mission-critical operations.
- Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements to increase system efficiency.
- Support agile workflows by clearly communicating technical risks, obstacles, and challenges within the development team.
