Rbs is looking for a technically minded Software Engineer at the Vice President level. You will be responsible for designing, producing, testing, and implementing working software, engaging across the full system lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Develop knowledge of the associated platform across business, applications, data, and infrastructure disciplines.
- Liaise with principal engineers, architects, and key stakeholders to understand how the platform works and supports business objectives.
- Apply Agile methods to the development of software on the backlog.
- Produce resilient, long-lived software designed to flexibly cope with future needs.
- Deliver intentional architecture and formulate emergent design through innovative ideas, experimentation, and prototyping.
- Design and develop software with a focus on automating build, test, and deployment activities using executable patterns.
What We're Looking For
- Strong full-stack experience in software design and implementation.
- Capable of exploiting programming languages to solve complex problems.
- Capable of complex requirements analysis, capture, and validation against business and systems requirements.
- Experience leading the implementation of programming best practices, especially around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability, and performance.
- Sound collaboration skills with the ability to work with business teams to produce pragmatic solutions.
- Experience with Java, Microservices, and Multithreading.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts simply.
