As a Software Engineer on the Web Experiences team, you'll play a key role in designing and refining the interfaces that developers use daily to manage pipelines, builds, and deployment decisions. Your work will directly influence customer satisfaction, product reliability, and how users perceive the platform.
What You'll Do
- Build and iterate on frontend features using React and TypeScript, focusing on clarity, performance, and accessibility.
- Refactor and simplify existing UIs to improve scalability as the product evolves.
- Write clean, maintainable code with testing and observability integrated from the start.
- Collaborate with design, product, and data teams to turn user insights into intuitive experiences.
- Debug and monitor services in a distributed environment using tools like Honeycomb, Datadog, and Rollbar.
- Advocate for monitoring practices that enhance system stability and performance.
- Contribute backend logic in Go when needed, working fluidly across the stack.
- Integrate and promote AI tools like Claude and Cursor to streamline development workflows.
- Work cross-functionally to assess tradeoffs, prioritize tasks, and deliver value incrementally.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining production web applications and distributed systems.
- Strong command of React and TypeScript, with a focus on frontend quality and performance.
- Ability to design systems, not just implement features, with attention to long-term maintainability.
- Experience working across the stack, including backend development in Go.
- Skill in API design and full-cycle project ownership—from requirements to delivery.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous situations, making informed tradeoffs, and adapting to change.
- A mindset oriented toward observability, documentation, and how code behaves in real-world conditions.
- Initiative to establish best practices and elevate team standards.
Nice to Have
- Experience optimizing frontend performance and adhering to accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and deployment strategies.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs or AI-driven development tools, including prompt engineering and workflow integration.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Mexico City, with a flexible schedule designed to reduce commute stress—working in person Tuesday through Thursday.
