We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer to help shape the future of the XRP Ledger (XRPL) by expanding its on-ledger capabilities. You'll work directly on the core blockchain infrastructure, focusing on integrating WebAssembly (WASM) into the existing C++ codebase to unlock new levels of programmability and smart contract functionality.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement critical components of the XRPL to improve scalability, performance, and developer capabilities.
- Lead the integration of a WebAssembly virtual machine into the ledger’s core, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain systems using modern C++ and Rust, following best practices across the full software lifecycle.
- Produce detailed technical designs and lead discussions with internal teams and external contributors.
- Champion code quality through rigorous testing and active participation in open-source code reviews.
What We’re Looking For
- At least five years of hands-on development experience with strong proficiency in C++ and Rust.
- Proven track record integrating WebAssembly runtimes into native codebases, especially in performance-sensitive environments.
- Deep interest in blockchain technology and a commitment to advancing decentralized systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex architectural challenges independently.
- Clear and effective communication, especially when explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Experience contributing to open-source blockchain projects or developer communities.
