Responsibilities
- Create fault-tolerant, real-time software for operation on satellites, gateways, user terminals, and network switches within a low-latency, high-bandwidth space-based communication system.
- Lead and contribute to architectural planning, system design evaluations, and peer code reviews.
- Build experimental prototypes and conduct controlled tests to validate core engineering designs.
- Construct software tools for development, deployment, data analysis, and visualization, supporting testing in virtual environments, hardware-in-the-loop setups, and live orbital systems.
- Implement and maintain dependable software deployment, automated testing, and analytical pipelines within a continuous integration and delivery framework.
Compensation
Pay ranges: Level I: $135,000–$155,000 annually; Level II: $155,000–$185,000 annually. Actual level and salary depend on skills, education, and experience. Total compensation includes base pay, long-term incentives (such as stock, options, or cash awards), discretionary bonuses, and eligibility for discounted stock purchases via an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
