About the Role

The Software Development Engineer in Test III will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated testing frameworks, collaborating with development teams to ensure product quality, and troubleshooting testing issues. This role will also involve mentoring junior team members and contributing to the improvement of testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated testing solutions for software products.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve testing issues and bugs.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to development teams.
  • Mentor junior team members in testing best practices and methodologies.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Participate in the development of test strategies and plans.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure testing objectives are met.
  • Ensure testing activities align with project timelines and milestones.
  • Provide input on the design and architecture of testing solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing.
  • Document testing processes, procedures, and results.
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system reliability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand testing requirements and expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with testing standards and regulations.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress and results to stakeholders.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Contribute to the development of test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Ensure the scalability and maintainability of testing solutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to testing teams.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of testing solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in software testing or related field.
  • Experience with large-scale software testing projects.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence in testing.
  • Experience with DevOps and site reliability engineering (SRE) practices.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and testing.
  • Experience with test data management and automation.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring and analytics tools.
  • Experience with security testing tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Cypress or Protractor.
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD).
  • Ability to lead and manage testing teams.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Robot Framework or Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG or NUnit.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Experience with test case management tools such as Zephyr or qTest.
  • Ability to document testing processes and procedures.
  • Experience with API testing and automation.
  • Knowledge of mobile application testing and automation.
