In this dual role, you'll contribute directly to software development while guiding a product squad through effective Scrum practices. Your work will span designing scalable solutions, writing clean code, and ensuring high performance and security standards are met across the development lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Develop, test, and maintain software with a focus on quality, scalability, and maintainability
- Collaborate on architectural decisions and participate in peer code reviews
- Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate DevOps best practices into daily workflows
- Lead Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and reviews
- Identify and remove obstacles that slow team progress
- Coach team members in agile principles and encourage self-organization
- Track sprint metrics such as velocity and cycle time to improve delivery predictability
- Work closely with Product and Design to clarify requirements and align on priorities
- Ensure transparency between technical teams and stakeholders
- Support release planning and coordination across teams when needed
What We Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience
- Multiple years of hands-on software development
- Proven background in agile environments with active participation in Scrum
- Strong coding skills in a primary language or full-stack environment
- Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems
- Understanding of software design patterns and best practices
- Experience guiding or facilitating agile teams
Nice to Have
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
- Background in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with DevOps and automated deployment pipelines
- Prior success in a hybrid technical-facilitation role
- Exposure to scaling agile across multiple teams
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid model with three days per week on-site in Glastonbury, CT. You’ll need to be a U.S. Person as defined by 8 USC 1324b(a)(3), or otherwise authorized by the U.S. Government, due to export control regulations. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
