About the Role
The SOC Manager will lead the 1st shift team in Sarasota, FL, managing daily operations, mentoring analysts, implementing security procedures, and overseeing incident response and threat detection using advanced tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide a team of SOC analysts, promoting ongoing skill development and operational excellence.
- Support active security investigations and fulfill SOC duties as directed by senior security leadership.
- Design, deploy, and maintain standardized processes, procedures, and runbooks for consistent SOC operations.
- Supervise round-the-clock monitoring, identification, and analysis of security events and incidents.
- Prioritize and manage security incidents to ensure prompt response, containment, and recovery actions.
- Perform routine analysis of threat intelligence to detect new threats and system vulnerabilities.
- Configure and enhance security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Generate and present regular reports on SOC performance, incident patterns, and overall security health.
- Work with IT departments to integrate security practices across organizational systems and workflows.
- Remain current on evolving cybersecurity trends, tools, and industry best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotations and manage team availability as required.

Oversee daily operations of the 1st shift Security Operations Center based in Sarasota, FL, with core hours from 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday. Lead and develop a team of security analysts, establish security protocols, and ensure optimal use of detection and response technologies. Drive incident detection, analysis, response, proactive threat hunting, and vulnerability management efforts.
