About the Role
This position supports the negotiation, preparation, and execution of clinical trial agreements with investigative sites. The specialist ensures contractual terms align with project requirements, regulatory standards, and organizational policies while maintaining strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and finalize clinical site agreements in accordance with sponsor and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with legal and project teams to resolve contractual discrepancies
- Ensure consistent application of standard contract language and negotiation guidelines
- Track and manage contract milestones to support study initiation timelines
- Maintain accurate records of all contract versions and communications
- Coordinate with finance and procurement teams regarding payment terms and invoicing
- Respond to site inquiries related to contract terms and obligations
- Monitor contract execution progress and escalate delays as needed
- Support audits and inspections by providing required contract documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and applicable regulations
- Facilitate signature collection from internal and external parties
- Manage electronic contract filing and database updates
- Identify risks in contract language and recommend mitigation strategies
- Work closely with clinical operations to align contract terms with study protocols
- Participate in process improvement initiatives related to contracting workflows
- Assist in training new team members on contract procedures
- Stay current with changes in clinical trial regulations affecting contracts
- Maintain confidentiality of contract and site information
- Support global teams with UK-specific contract expertise
- Use contract management systems to track status and deadlines
- Ensure timely activation of sites through efficient contracting
- Communicate contract status updates to project stakeholders
- Escalate complex legal issues to senior contract managers
- Contribute to standardization of contract templates
- Support variation and amendment processes for active studies
