About the Role

This role focuses on expanding the reach of cutting-edge genomic tools by engaging with key decision-makers in research institutions and biotech firms. The specialist will identify customer needs, demonstrate product value, and close sales to meet regional targets.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in academic, government, and biopharmaceutical sectors
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for potential clients
  • Collaborate with field application scientists to support customer evaluations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and procurement teams
  • Understand customer research goals to recommend appropriate solutions
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and sales forecasts
  • Track and report on sales activities using CRM systems
  • Coordinate with marketing to tailor campaigns for regional audiences
  • Attend scientific conferences and trade shows to generate leads
  • Stay current on competitive technologies and market trends
  • Support contract negotiations and purchasing processes
  • Provide customer feedback to product development teams
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas
  • Work cross-functionally with technical support and logistics teams
  • Educate customers on workflow integration and data interpretation
  • Manage post-sale follow-up to ensure satisfaction
  • Address technical inquiries with assistance from support teams
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions
  • Promote bundled offerings combining instruments, reagents, and software
